To grow the Westie business the company looked for a marketing approach which would communicate and leverage Westie well against other main brands in the category. A 'Community Connect' marketing programme and special partnerships were developed establishing relationships with the New Zealand Vodafone Warriors Rugby League, Auckland Blues Rugby, and providing sponsorship for community and sports clubs, school fund raising and product sampling.
